May Birds

With Spring well underway and more and more birds migrating back North, we’re starting to see some of our warmer weather friends – especially various Warblers! It was also exciting to capture two new local birds this month: the Red-eyed Vireo (which we hear ALL THE TIME but can never find) and my first time seeing a Baltimore Oriole!

We also traveled to Arizona to visit family and were able to add 30 new lifers to our lists, but I’ll post those at a later time (still plenty to process).

Warblers

This month I caught some better photos of three that were quite elusive to me last year – the Black & White Warbler, Blackburnian Warbler and the Black-throated Green Warbler.

New Birds

And the rest of the bunch

More of the common or previously captured birds: Brown headed cowbird, Blue Jays, Turkey Vulture, American Robins, Indigo Bunting (love him), American Goldfinch, Chipping Sparrow and Ruby-throated Hummingbird.
