Birding: March 2026

Work has been busy, so I’m a bit delayed in gathering March’s birdwatching, but here we are. Rather than break the post up by bird species, I’m going to break it up by location, since Erin and I were pretty active, going to different locations. Enjoy this mega post of over 70 photos!

New lifers this month: American Woodcock, Hooded Merganser, Great Cormorant (the Great Cormorant put us on the eBird local bird alerts after we spotted it in Beacon!)

Sony A7IV, 200-600G and a Sigma 24-70mm DG DN II (for the photos in the city)

Catching the last of the Short-Eared Owls for the season, and getting our first sightings of Red-Winged Blackbirds for the year.
