With the recent snow, a lot of the trails we frequent around Minnewaska State Park are available to only cross-country skiing so we wanted some other hiking options so we decided to get annual memberships to the Mohonk Preserve.

We’ve been to a few of their trails thanks to the Healthy Ulster program (free pass for the month for residents in the county) in the spring but there were still many on our to-visit list.

So today we went to the Testimonial Gateway outside New Paltz. We’ve seen it quite a bit on drives and even in the third season of Severence (it’s the entrance to the birthing retreat) so was a treat to finally visit. And with how cold it was, we were the only ones there! Can’t wait to go back more this winter and in the warmer months.
