We moved up to the Hudson Valley two years ago and one of the first biggest shocks for us was that black bears were local to the area. Mind you, we didn’t find this out until one of our video cameras caught one at night! Up until today, we haven’t seen any with our own eyes… until today.
We were eating lunch and I saw a black spot moving in the backyard out of the corner of my eye and sure enough, this big boy (or girl?) was walking up through the yard! Thankfully it stopped long enough for me to run and get my camera!
