During our Icelandic visit, my wife had booked us tickets aboard a bus that would drive us out to Thingvellir National Park for a chance at seeing the Aurora Borealis. The nights have been pretty clear leading up to the night we went so we had our fingers crossed and knowing it was just going to come down to luck.
On the bus, Erin turned to me and said – is that… THEM?! I peered over her seat, looked out the window and sure enough we could see the twinkle of greens with our bare eyes! We were so lucky. Out until 2am with a group of strangers in complete awe.
